This is an allowance for the costs of coffee/tea, gas, water and electricity. You declare these costs on a monthly basis.
Zuyd encourages environmentally friendly ways of travelling such as cycling, public transport and carpooling.
Employees who cycle to work receive a bicycle allowance( €0.23 per km) and the possibility to participate in the bicycle scheme. If you come to work by public transport, your public transport costs are reimbursed up to a maximum of €2,200 per year.
There is also a travel allowance for employees who come by car (€0.23 per km), up to a maximum of 150 kilometres per day.
Vital employees are important to us. We also believe that prevention is better than cure. That is why new employees are invited for a workplace examination.
Several times a year, you can take part in health checks. Moreover, Zuyd employees receive an attractive discount at a number of sports centres in South Limburg via ODS Vitaal (Relaxation Through Sport).
You can make use of an extensive range of workshops, coaching, (online) training courses and assistance in the field of vitality, well-being and health.

As an employee of a.s.r., you can take out insurance for the ANW-gap pension. This ensures that you leave your partner financially well behind in the event of your death. The premium is deducted from your salary for the duration of your employment. Would you like to know more about this insurance? Then go to the a.s.r. website.
You build up a pension through the Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfonds (ABP), the pension fund for education and government staff. A good ABP pension to which we contribute 70% with an excellent pension scheme for your income later. It is also a solid safety net in case of death and disability.
As a lecturer, you work 40 hours (full-time) per week and have teaching-free periods, such as Christmas, spring and summer holidays. In full-time employment, this amounts to over 10 weeks of leave per year.
If you are employed full-time in a teaching support position, you may choose a working week of 36, 38, or 40 hours. However, sometimes there are organisational interests that make this choice impossible. If you work more than 36 hours, you also accrue extra leave. Based on this choice, you have 5 to 10 weeks of holidays. These can be freely used in consultation. If you work part-time, we calculate your working week and leave pro rata.
You discuss the number of working hours, your working days and starting and finishing times with your manager. Besides the statutory leave regulations, you can also make use of additional regulations in special cases.
You will receive 45 DI hours (sustainable employability hours) each year in proportion to your appointment size.
You can use these hours for making agreements that help you to continue to do your work well, healthily and with pleasure, or for maintaining and strengthening your employability, skills and professional development.
You make agreements on the use of your DI hours during your annual reflection interview with your manager.
Under the CAO-HBO you receive 40 hours a year for maintaining your skills for appointments of 0.4 FTE and above. From 0.1 FTE this is 10 hours, from 0.2 FTE 20 hours and from 0.3 FTE 30 hours. You decide how to use these hours and on what.
You make agreements about the use of your professionalisation hours during your annual reflection interview with your supervisor.
