Appendix Processing Personal Data

Zuyd University of Applied Sciences , as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation, collects the personal data provided by you and uses it to process the application and link you to one or more vacancies within Zuyd. We will keep your data in our database for up to four weeks after the completion of the application procedure. Only if you give us permission will we keep your data for 12 months after the end of the procedure. You will receive an e-mail from us in good time for this purpose.

• You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to werken@zuyd.nl. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal. You can contact the above e-mail address if you have any substantive questions.

• You can exercise various rights towards Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, including the request for inspection, correction and deletion. You can send your request digitally to privacy@zuyd.nl or by post to the address below. A full overview of your rights can be found on the website of the Personal Data Authority.

• You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority about the processing of your personal data. Nevertheless, you are advised to first make the complaint known to Zuyd.

• Your consent only applies to the processing purposes and frameworks described below. If your personal data are further processed for another compatible and legitimate purpose, you will be informed prior to such further processing.

Purposes of processing: recruiting and selecting new employees; registering data of potential candidates; storing and matching data of candidates for future vacancies.

Basis of processing: explicit consent.

Categories of personal data: Name and address details; Gender; Date of birth; Telephone number; E-mail address; Education level; Subject areas; other information mentioned in CV and cover letter; ip address.

Retention period of personal data: The aforementioned data will be kept for up to 4 weeks after the completion of the application process. Upon explicit consent of the candidate, this retention period is extended to 12 months (with an option to extend by 12 months each time).

(Groups of) internal recipients of personal data: Recruitment and selection staff; selection committee members.

External recipients of personal data: Recruitee's online recruitment software package.
